Below is an e-mail sent to RISC by an attendee after attending the C.A.R.S. certification course sponsored by ARA. We thank her for attending and her kind words.
Joe and Stamatis,
It was a pleasure meeting both of you in Charlotte during the ARA/C.A.R.S. certification course.
Thank you for a very informative discussion on topics of great importance to the recovery industry. I took away from our session several items that were implemented immediately. The chain of custody form for personal property and the notice of personal property to the borrower are now in place.
As someone who has only been on this side of the repossession industry for a couple of years, I learned I have a lot to learn.
The drivers that attended from Premier Recovery had wonderful things to say as well. They have left me with the impression the certification gives them more pride and confidence in what they do. Comments such as "I don't feel like some repo guy, I feel like a professional recovery agent" and "I feel I will be taken more seriously as a recovery agent since I will be certified."
After careful review of all the material provided I would like to get my log in information so that I can now take the test.
